Dr. David Stewart was a National Advanced Placement Scholar and graduated from Brigham Young University in molecular biology with Summa Cum Laude honors. He received his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He completed a surgical internship and orthopedic residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch and a fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, a top hospital for pediatric orthopedic surgery. He has been practicing in Las Vegas since 2005 and joined Cure 4 The Kids Foundation in 2022. Dr. Stewart enjoys working with children and strives to provide each with excellent care.

Statement from Dr. Stewart:

“My treatment philosophy is conservative, favoring non-surgical treatment when medically appropriate in the absence of quality evidence for superior results with surgery. I constantly read medical journals and texts to keep up with the current medical evidence and best practices.”

“Parent and patient engagement in the treatment process are essential to get the best results. Taking the time to clearly discuss conditions with parents and patients and to explain the pros and cons of medically appropriate options is important to me.  I listen closely to patients and parents and approach decision-making collaboratively.  Parents know their children in a way that medical providers cannot. Parental input and preferences are an essential role in formulating the optimal treatment plan.”

Dr. Stewart’s care and expertise have made him the preferred pediatric orthopedic specialist for many parents and referring providers in southern Nevada and adjacent regions.
