Children's Heart Center of Nevada provides cardiovascular care to children and adults in five offices throughout Nevada

Little Miss Hannah Foundation (Henderson - S. Eastern) "Help enhance the quality of life for young children diagnosed with rare, life-limiting, or undiagnosed complex medical needs."

Cancer

Candlelighters Foundation (LV - Spanish Ridge) provides emotional support, quality of life programs, and financial assistance for children and their families affected by childhood cancer

Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation Provides over 45 programs and services at no cost to pediatric and adult patients and their families living in Southern Nevada.

Cardiac

Children's Heart Foundation (LV - near Sunrise Hospital) provides emotional, educational and financial services to families affected by a child's heart condition.

Chromosomal

Down Syndrome Organization of Southern Nevada (LV - Vegas Dr.) provides support, information and education for families and individuals affected by Down Syndrome or other chromosomal abnormalities

Endocrine

Nevada Diabetes Association (LV - High Street) improves the lives of children and adults affected by diabetes through prevention, education and service.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (LV - S. Fort Apache) engages in research working towards improved therapies for children with Type I diabetes

Hemophilia Foundation of Nevada nonprofit advocacy service to help meet education and support needs of the bleeding disorders community

Neurology

Epilepsy Foundation of Nevada provides support for individuals affected by seizure disorder

Neurofibromatosis Network offers support to neurofibromatosis patients

 

Neuromuscular

Muscular Dystrophy Association offers support services for young adults and families of those suffering from neuromuscular diseases. Educational material and community connections to support young adults through school, employment, and independent living.

Spina Bifida Association of the Intermountain Region supports and connects communities in Nevada, Utah, and Idaho

Nevada Early Intervention Services services including physical, occupational, speech therapy, and others for special needs or at-risk patients from birth to age 3.

Child Find Clark County School District serves as a resource that helps to identify and evaluate educational needs of children ages 3 through 21.

Nevada Educational Advocacy and Tutoring (NEAT) Services "with a focus on the child, we provide educational therapy through educational advocacy and specialized tutoring."

JFSA Center for Assessment & Educational Services "offers affordable and high-quality psycho-educational assessments for families and schools"

Socialization and Sports

City of Las Vegas Adaptive Recreation Division offers recreation programs for persons of varying abilities

City of Henderson Therapeutic Recreation and Inclusion Services offers recreation programs ad adaptive/inclusive services for individuals with disabilities

Special Olympics Nevada "Provides free year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with disabilities."

Spectrum on Ice (LV) offers ice skating, hockey, and figure skating instruction and events for special needs children. Coaches are trained in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Sport Social (LV) provides sports in a socializing atmosphere for children with special needs, among other services

Step Up Dance Academy (LV - Wigwam) offers dance classes, including for children with special needs

Sunshine Nevada Organization "cultivates social inclusiveness and community and provides opportunities for children and young adults with special needs to learn social, life and work related skills, connect, thrive and have fun."

Transition to Adulthood

Project F.O.C.U.S at UNLV "A 2-year post secondary education program for young adults with intellectual/developmental disability...that helps college students achieve current and future academic, independent living, and employment goals."

Good Friends "A meet-up group who provides friendship, support, and fun to high-functioning adults in the Las Vegas/Henderson area who have Asperger Syndrome (or are on the autism spectrum), ADD, or other learning disabilities."

Southern Nevada Center for Independent Living "provides services for individuals with significant disabilities whose disability is creating a barrier toward independent living in the family, in the community or in employment."

Bring About Independence "Certified Nevada provider that offers quality residential support to individuals with developmental disabilities."

Employment

Achievement Vocational Center "Offers vocational developmental services, extended employment programs and life skills to individuals 17 years and older. Not for profit."
